 American Academy of Art Show

Open call to all artists associated with the American Academy of Art: graduates, current students, faculty, staff!

The lovely Vogt Visual Arts Center in Tinley Park has invited us to fill their walls this coming April. They are looking for AT LEAST 100 pieces of mostly 2D work (let me know if you have anything 3D and we can see how we can fit it in!). Include your name, title, medium, price (if for sale), and relationship to the Academy (student, graduate, faculty, staff) on the back of each piece. All work should be framed and ready to hang with a wire hanger.

Please note that the Vogt Art Center is affiliated with the Tinley Park park district and serves a family audience - NO NUDITY OR GRAPHIC IMAGERY! The center retains the right to omit work they deem inappropriate.

Work should be delivered to the Vogt Center during their normal hours:

Call for Illinois Artists

CALL FOR ILLINOIS ARTISTS:
The Illinois Artisans Program is approaching its 30th year! We would like to invite you to become part of this unique and growing program. Created in 1985 by Governor James R. Thompson, the program draws national and statewide attention to the exceptional fine craft and art in the state. The program provides venues for the display and sale of one-of-a-kind work all made in Illinois. Juried artisans participate in solo and group exhibitions, arts sprees (indoor art fairs), demonstrations and teach classes. Three not-for-profit venues operate under statutory authority of the Illinois State Museum Society to display and sell Illinois artisans work in over 26 media categories including: ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting, fiber arts, furniture as well as fine art.

To become a juried artist in the Artisans Program, an artist must live and work within Illinois. A body of work must then be reviewed and accepted by a jury-panel. Artists apply in a specific media category and the cost is $30 per application. Please consider becoming a juried Illinois Artisan today, the deadline is March 28th. The full application can be found at http://www.museum.state.il.us/programs/illinois-artisans/
