Loeschner Art Competition

Become part of the permanent collection.
The Ray and Nancy Loeschner Art Competition is for two-dimensional art (e.g. drawing, print, pastel, painting and photography) inspired by the grounds and collections of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. The winning entry will become part of Meijer Gardens’ permanent collection. It will be displayed and eventually reproduced (e.g. posters, note cards), with full credit to the artist, to promote the beauty and inspiration the organization provides.
New England landscape artist, Dianne Shullenberger, is the winner of the 2013 Loeschner Annual Art Competition. Her winning entry, Fall Brambles, is a landscape of colored pencil on black paper, resulting in luminous, pastel-like textures, but with finer detail.
