Job Description
Game artists are tasked with bringing our games to life by developing eye-catching art for casino games throughout the world. At Scientific Games you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented artists, creating game art for exceptional brands such as: Lord of the Rings, Seinfeld, Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and many more. As part of our Chicago studio you will be enjoying working in friendly environment in the center of the city, with all the tools and guidance necessary to grow in your role here at Scientific Games.

Essential Job Functions: 
·         Create game art for all aspects of our slot games, including symbol art, backgrounds, display art and game animations.
·         Create high-caliber art, maintaining excellent art quality in regard to character design, color theory, layout, text treatment, and animation ability.
·         Continually sharpen artistic abilities through company training, independent learning, and learning from other team members.
·         Continually sharpen software expertise through company training, independent learning, and learning from other team members.
·         Work closely with Senior Artists and Lead Artists, producing high-quality art in an iterative process.
·         Display a high degree of professionalism at all times, accepting critique from team members.
·         Show efficiency in self-managing time with a reasonable degree of accountability and minimal instruction
·         Demonstrate excellent file structure and organization. Create art assets and document all art assets created with minimal mistakes.

Qualifications:
·         Education:   Bachelor of Arts in art/animation
·         Required Experience:  Minimum 1 – 3 years previous experience as an Associate or Core Artist in a production environment
·         Ability to create art and animation for all game aspects (screen layout, symbol sets, etc) with minimal guidance.
·         Understand how to design art for various themes and platforms
·         Excellent drawing and rendering abilities
·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·         Proficient in Photoshop, Flash, After Effects
·         Working knowledge of Illustrator, Studio Max or other 3D platform

Graphics Specialist - TreeHouse Foods


Job Description – Customer Graphics Specialist, Oak Brook IL HQ

The CGS will manage the efficient, accelerated execution of artwork development projects to align with TreeHouse and Customer strategies. Engage with customers and agencies toward the creation of accurate content and appropriately produced printing artwork files against all timelines and budgets. Demonstrate expertise of products, categories, and print requirements to drive speed to market, reduce redundancy, and minimize inaccuracy.

·         Roles & Responsibilities:
o    Establish execution strategies for the introduction of customer new product launches, line extensions, redesigns, product improvement projects, cost-savings projects, and on-pack promotions.
o    Collaborate with internal and external customers, along with pre-media and print vendors to provide information to complete brand design packaging projects.
o    Review and approve artwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate, industry, print (offset/Flexo), government regulations and retailer guidelines.
o    Execute packaging graphic projects against established TreeHouse procedures, objectives, timing, and financial commitments in specified systems and tools.
o    Review, approve, and process cost estimate and invoices related to artwork development projects.
o    Identify and support areas of technical and process improvement, SOP creation, and inter-team training.
o    Support team members to create value for the TreeHouse organization.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
o    Strong project management, time management, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills a must.
o    Knowledge of Offset, Flexo, and Gravure printing.
o    Knowledge in FDA, USDA and UPC compliance a plus (knowledge base across all categories).
o    Highly organized and detail oriented.
o    Self-directed, self-starter with the ability to motivate team members and be proactive
o    Familiarity with both Mac and PC platforms.
o    Working knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
o    Navigational knowledge of Adobe software.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required – Graphic Communications/Print Technologies

Minimum Experience Preferred:
o    Minimum of 3 years related graphic/printing experience and/or private label, consumer package goods experience.

Travel Requirements: Less than 5%

Salary: Starting in the high $50k's
