Assurance 2014 Juried Student Art Competition Call For Entries

To celebrate the forthcoming opening of Assurance Chicago, we are holding a student art competition. Open to Chicagoland undergraduate and graduate art students, Assurance will award three(3) $1,110 cash prizes to winning submissions. Submit an initial JPEG of your entry by 5pm on Friday, August 22, 2014 at davidjamesgroup.com/assurance-entry.

Eligibility

The contest is open to all undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in a Chicago fine or commercial art program.

Theme

Primary Tasks: The Sales Associate is a representative of our company to the public and is therefore expected to handle all customer contacts in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. The associate is responsible for providing our customers with outstanding customer service, helpful product knowledge, building individual customer relationships and presenting a clean, safe and well- maintained store environment.

Responsibilities:
Consistently demonstrates superior customer satisfaction by combining sales, product and other skills training to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Energetic and positive attitude with all customer interactions.
Ensure compliance to all Loss Prevention measures and company Policies & Procedures.
Processes transactions in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Assists in coordination of merchandise set-ups, has knowledge of visual standards and techniques and has the ability to implement and maintain the store as set forth by store management.
Follows directions, showing an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines as assigned with minimal supervision.
All other assigned duties from the Store Manager and/or any member of the Blick Retail Management Team.

General Requirements:

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills.
Available to work day/evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must have an extensive art background as well as retail experience.
Availability of 3 days a week, 7-8 hour shifts, at least 24 hours a week.

Chicago’s fastest growing start-up is looking for part time interns, 15+ hours a week, depending on schedule and skill set. * Make changes/updates to website
* Landing page layouts and design
* Infographic conceptualization and creation
* Assisting the Marketing Department with all ongoing projects
