Requirements:

  • Able to execute a creative vision, as well as understand the communication objective to develop and present creative solutions with minimal supervision; effective time management skills;
  • Research techniques relevant to the style and quality of video production and animation sequences. Present storyboards for review and approval.
  • Strong design aesthetic and solid grasp on typography, color, and composition
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects
  • In-depth knowledge of video editing and motion graphics
  • Understanding of WordPress, HTML and CSS is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, and ability to articulate clearly and effectively
  • Establish brand identity guidelines for photography and videography design and usage.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN



INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW 


The Graphic Design Internship is a great opportunity for a motivated student to gain real-world experience working in a national law firm doing innovative work on a wide range of criminal justice and social justice issues. The Graphic Design Intern will be based in Chicago but work with other, out-of-state offices.

The internship is unpaid and students are eligible to receive academic credit.

Time Commitment: Position is part time (10-20 hours/week). Schedule is flexible. Position is available immediately.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and enhance the visual identity consistent with organization’s brand guidelines.

Develop and produce graphics for use on the website, social media channels and emails, keeping with graphic design standards, case objectives and branding guidelines.

Create reusable graphics templates for print and digital.

Assist with managing digital asset libraries including images, graphics, videos, and templates.

Collaborate with staff across the organization on graphic design needs.

Assist with any other tasks/projects as needed. 


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Current undergraduate student, preferably in a related field (e.g. Graphic Design, Design Media Arts).

Basic knowledge of art and design.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

Understanding of trends and best practices for using graphics to communicate effectively via digital channels.

Position Description
The Institutional Advancement Assistant is a key member of the Marketing and Communications team through creation of collateral for IA marketing, programs and events, as well as planning and executing IA communication strategies in adherence with the Schools’ brand standards. Though the majority of responsibilities support Marketing and Communications, the IA Assistant also provides administrative support to the Director of Institutional Advancement in coordinating and implementing the Schools’ institutional advancement vision. As a member of the Institutional Advancement Team, the IA Assistant attends all departmental meetings and collaborates with IA colleagues on projects that involve shared responsibilities. The Institutional Advancement Assistant projects a positive mission-driven image of Sacred Heart Schools with the general public and with all parties associated with the Schools.

Essential Job Functions – Marketing & Communications:
  • Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to design, edit, and produce collateral (invitations, flyers, brochures, posters, etc.) for all IA programs and events.
  • Create and send e-blasts and e-newsletters.
  • Assist Student Life team in Marketing & Communications-related elements of Yearbook production.
  • Attend and photograph events, as needed.
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Essential Job Functions – Institutional Advancement:
  • Provide administrative support to Director of Institutional Advancement and leadership volunteers.
  • Manage logistics for IA and Major Gifts meetings as needed. Coordinate schedules; issue reminders; prepare materials; coordinate facilities and hospitality; take notes, document outcomes and monitor next steps.
  • Work closely with the Development team to assist with gift entry, pledge billings and acknowledgements. Generate reports using Raiser’s Edge and other database and spreadsheet software.
  • Schedule meetings with prospective donors and volunteers and with incoming new families. Confirm appointments; prepare donor histories and solicitation/informational materials; provide travel directions. Record meeting notes from staff; coordinate follow up correspondence, including thank you notes; monitor next steps.
  • Assist with Advancement events, including Campaign/Major Gifts, Parent Education, Alumni Reunion Weekend and other Alumni Relations events. Prepare invitations and event collateral; manage registration, payment, and participant records; coordinate vendors; attend and staff events.
  • Transcribe, write, edit and/or proofread correspondence and communications related to campaigns, major gifts, Parent Education, Alumni Relations events and other Institutional Advancement functions, as assigned.
  • Proactively manage prospect research and all files related to Campaign/Major Gifts and other Institutional Advancement areas, as assigned. Research all new families via Wealth Engine, and help inform proper coding, updating rating as needed.
  • Manage the daily exchange of campus information and correspondence with the IA Department.
  • Implement daily administrative activities associated with the major gifts program and/or campaigns.
  • Maintain advancement calendar and records, exercising discretion and confidentiality with information.
  • Contribute to the successful organization and development of other fundraising activities and events and assist with overflow work from other IA offices, as needed.

Art Instructor Wanted - Insight Fine Art Studio


Insight Fine Art Studio is seeking an instructor to teach in our classes for kids and adults. This is a great position for someone with a flexible schedule. After paid training, you'll start as an occasional substitute teacher, and will be assigned permanent weekly classes on Saturdays (9 to 3 PM) in July. 

As enrollment continues to increase, we will add additional classes that you might teach on a weekly basis. We are especially interested in candidates that have flexible schedules and can fill in on occasion. This position is perfect for a BFA student or recent graduate with a degree in painting and drawing, illustration or a related field. 

The ideal candidate will have: 
-Strong skills in representational painting and drawing. 
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 
-The ability to work independently. -A friendly and professional demeanor. 
-A flexible schedule. 
-Experience working with kids preferred.

Artist Wanted - Church Painting Restoration

St. James Lutheran Church located on the corner of Fremont and Dickens in the City’s Lincoln Park area is looking for an artist to help restore stenciled artwork behind the church’s alter. The church, built in 1869 is undergoing a number of repairs as we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary. 

Help us bridge the past by prepping for the future.

Job Description – Customer Graphics Specialist, Oak Brook IL HQ

The CGS will manage the efficient, accelerated execution of artwork development projects to align with TreeHouse and Customer strategies. Engage with customers and agencies toward the creation of accurate content and appropriately produced printing artwork files against all timelines and budgets. Demonstrate expertise of products, categories, and print requirements to drive speed to market, reduce redundancy, and minimize inaccuracy.

·         Roles & Responsibilities:
o    Establish execution strategies for the introduction of customer new product launches, line extensions, redesigns, product improvement projects, cost-savings projects, and on-pack promotions.
o    Collaborate with internal and external customers, along with pre-media and print vendors to provide information to complete brand design packaging projects.
o    Review and approve artwork to ensure accuracy and compliance with corporate, industry, print (offset/Flexo), government regulations and retailer guidelines.
o    Execute packaging graphic projects against established TreeHouse procedures, objectives, timing, and financial commitments in specified systems and tools.
