Design Job Opening - Cards Agains Humanity

Graphic Designer - Cards Against Humanity

Submitted by CAR_Andi on Wed, 04/15/2015 - 3:14pm
Cards Against Humanity is seeking a full-time Chicago-based graphic designer to join our product team. We are a design-led company known for iconic product design, and the right addition to our team will advance our visual identity with strong art-direction, graphic design, and illustration skills.

The right candidate should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly.

You should know how to do art school stuff (color, composition, typography, working with physical materials, print production) even if you didn’t go to art school. You should share our opinion that copy is the most important aspect of great design. You should be excited to rapid-prototype design ideas in our fabrication and screenprinting studio. You should be comfortable leading a group of people to a cohesive design and making them happy that they were part of that process. Most importantly, you should have strong opinions weakly held; you should advocate for design but be open to great ideas that come from new people and new experiences.

Full benefits, competitive pay, four weeks paid vacation, and paid travel for the purposes of attending conferences and doing research.
