14th Annual Self-Employment in the Arts (SEA)
Conference
February 21st & 22nd, 2014
Hilton Hotel - Lisle, Illinois
This two day event is geared towards
career development for artists. Activities include keynote speakers, workshops,
round table discussions, one-on-one mentoring, and more. Programming is led by
artist practitioners, educators, and arts and business professionals. Attendees
include college students, community artists, and serious high school students.

- $1,000 Artistic Business Plan Pitch Competition (entry deadline 1/31/14)
- Juried College Art Competition with $800 in prizes (entry deadline 1/31/14)
- One-on-one mentoring opportunities (great for portfolio reviews and for
asking questions!)
- Over 40 different presenters
- Hands-on workshops including mock auditions, pricing your art, and many more
- All areas of art from fashion to theater
- Only $99 for students for full conference (includes all activities and 3
meals) PLUS scholarships are available to help off-set the registration fee even
more for both students and non-students. One day rates also available.
