JOB DESCRIPTION

StickOutSocial is a small, prospering startup that specializes in website & web/mobile application development and online marketing management. We have 100+ clients in 10+ different industries nationwide and we are searching for a Website Designer who has the motivation and personality to flourish in a small startup environment. As an intern, you will create (and assist in the creation of) websites for a wide range of clients (from Sports Bars to Trucking Companies & much more in between). You will also be responsible for some edits for existing websites as well as communicating with our team & the rest of our company concerning website creation progress.

QUALIFICATIONS

Things we are looking for in an intern:

●      Experience creating & editing WordPress websites

●      Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - graphic design experience

●      Knowledgeable/desire to learn more about web-trends

●      Effective & reliable communication skills to work directly with managers & coworkers

●      Must be easy going with a good attitude! This a startup, not a corporate job!

●      Available for at least 20 hours per week

●      Consistent effort & professional work-ethic

●      Organized, self-starting, & detail-oriented

Learning Objectives:

●      Analyze modern website design concepts & incorporate these into the design & creation of StickOutSocial websites.

●      Develop an understanding of the website design process & problem solving methods as well as explore the effect certain website layouts, etc. have in different industries.

●      Translate abstract concepts & ideas verbally and visually using various forms of media to communicate.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

We are located near Wells and Van Buren in downtown Chicago. We are steps away from two CTA stops, Quincy/Wells (Brown/Green/Orange/Pink/Purple) and LaSalle (Blue). *Ideal for college student in downtown Chicago*

We are looking for someone to start ASAP & End Dates are flexible but the internship will last 3-4 months. This position could lead to full-time employment.
