About the exhibit
In celebration of 110 years in Oak Park and 10 years in the Main Library, Oak Park Public
Library will host a community art exhibit in the Main Library Art Gallery in October 2013.
Titled Literary Explorations, this month-long exhibit encourages artists to submit work
inspired by literature. Art can be serious or playful, come from a cherished author, specific
title, literary character or another subject related to the theme.
Art will be exhibited at one of three sites: the Main Library Art Gallery, Dole Branch Library or Maze Branch Library from Oct. 1 through Oct. 30. Three free, open to the public receptions will be held Sunday, Oct. 6.
Dole Branch and Maze Branch will host receptions from 2 to 4 p.m.; the Main Library will host a reception from 3 to 5 p.m.
