Ovation Solutions, www.ovationsolutions.com, is seeking a highly motivated freelance character designer and illustrator who can creatively develop the art direction for corporate two to three minute product and service motion graphic videos. Must demonstrate a diversity in multiple visual styles, storyboards and knowledge of Illustrator work-flow from concept to deliverable for After Effects animators.The work demands a creative flair, great sense of urgency, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to allocating the relevant amount of time according to the value of each job, costs and deadlines.Typical work activities:Meeting with video producers to discuss creative approach and requirements of the job.Interpreting scripts and their design instruction for needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.Creatively illustrate a variety of characters and environments for animation.Working with a wide range of media, including photography, and 2D and 3D assets.Estimating the time required to complete the work.Developing design briefs by gathering information and data through research.Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.Proactive in presenting or "pitching" design approach to video producers.Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to video producers, sometimes on short notice.Ability to evaluate and modify existing assets provided by clients.Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as Illustrator and Photoshop.Working as part of a team with creative and production producers.Feel free to preview our portfolio at www.ovationsolutions.com.
