The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce focuses on economic and community development initiatives. We are the local business association for the Wicker Park and Bucktown communities and our strength lies in the number and diversity of our Membership. We strive to develop innovative ways to increase local commerce and quality of life. Cooperative marketing, networking, and sponsorship opportunities increase business visibility and encourage profitable relationships in the community.The Chamber administers the WPB Special Service Area (SSA #33). SSAs, often known as Business Improvement Districts in other cities, provide a fair and transparent way to finance and manage programs to create, maintain and manage clean, attractive and competitive commercial districts. The SSA is overseen by a Commission of 12 stakeholders in the SSA and guided by a Master Plan adopted in 2009.
Graphic Design Intern
Internship Description: We are seeking an intern to coordinate all graphic elements of Chamber and SSA #33 marketing initiatives, promotions and events. Responsibilities include:1. Creating and maintaining a unique graphic style across all Chamber events and promotions.
2. Create complete graphics packages (digital and print) for monthly and annual events
3. Compile design ideas for new events and craft brand identities.
4. Assist with social media maintenance and content creation.
5. Work as an integral part of our small team.
6. Attend Chamber events as needed.
Candidates should be prepared to complete at least two (2) small-scale graphics packages per month (4-5 pieces) and one (1) large event package per quarter (7-12 pieces).

Rate/Stipend: $10/hr
Expected start date and hours per week: March 2016. 10-15 hours/week, with the potential for more hours during the summer. Hours are flexible, but interns must be able to work in the office at least 10 hours per week. 300-hour internship, with the potential for additional time.
