Drawing Teaching Artist- Highland Park (Contractual)
Seeking a Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking Teaching artist
to facilitate a Superhero Drawing class during after-school time.
Students participating in the program are junior high and high school
grade levels in Highland Park. Workshops will focus on a
self-portraiture and discussing the concept of super-heroes. This should
ignite conversation and the exploration of comic book characters that
conform with the protagonist and antagonist of a story plot. Students
will be knowledgeable of the terms plot, hero and villain before the
teaching artists arrives. Students will tell a story through their
artwork in which they are the protagonist and what super powers they
wished they had that would intercede and make the situation better.
