Art Education Opportunity - Elmhurst Art Museum

Arts Camp Counselor

Elmhurst Art Museum seeks a fun-loving teaching artist with strong curriculum and recreation ideas for the part-time position of Arts Camp Counselor.  This staff member supervises and instructs children in various camp activities.  Arts Camp Counselors develop and prepare class materials and lesson plans and maintain proper set-up of equipment and maintenance of program space.  The position will be responsible for maintaining and communicating a positive attitude in all internal & external communications regarding Arts Camp.  The Arts Camp Counselor works closely with the Arts Camp Director and Elmhurst Art Museum education staff. 
 We are seeking staff for all of our Arts Camp sessions.  Arts Camp is scheduled to run January 3-6, 2012 (Winter), March 26-30, 2012 (Spring), and from June 11-August 10, 2012 (Summer). 
 
Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

Successful candidate must have a High School diploma and 1-3 years of experience in working with children in an arts or recreational capacity.
