Google Photography Prize
In association with the Saatchi Gallery
Do you see the world through a camera lens? Does the work of Wolfgang Tillmans, Thomas
Demand, Ryan McGinley or Jeff Wall spark your imagination?
If so, we would love you to enter the Google Photography Prize, a global competition
launched by Google and the Saatchi Gallery that offers students a chance to showcase their
work internationally and to have it exhibited at one of the most prestigious galleries in the
world.
Who is eligible?
The Google Photography Prize is open to students in higher education around the world
(some exceptions apply, see http://google.com/photographyprize for more details).
What prizes can you win?
All contestants get the opportunity to share their photographs online.
The top 100 contestants will receive a Galaxy Nexus Android smart phone.
The top 10 finalists, chosen by a jury of renowned photographers, will show their work at
the Saatchi Gallery in London for two months in 2012 alongside Out of Focus, a major
photography exhibition, and win a trip to London to attend the private view with a friend.
One winner will go on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to an amazing destination with a professional
photography coach.
How do you enter?
It's easy to enter. Go to http://google.com/photographyprize where you can select from 10
categories. You'll then need to upload your photos to Google+ and share them with the world
as a public post, and fill out the submission form by 31 January 2012.
