Arts Camp Director

Elmhurst Art Museum seeks a fun-loving teaching artist with strong curriculum and recreation ideas for the part-time position of Arts Camp Director. This staff member plans, coordinates, implements, and supervises all camp activities. The Arts Camp Director schedules, supervises, and evaluates all counseling staff. The position will be responsible for maintaining and communicating a positive attitude in all internal & external communications regarding Arts Camp. The Arts Camp Director works closely with the Elmhurst Art Museum education staff. Successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in arts and/or education and 1-3 years of experience in working with children in an arts or recreational capacity, including 1 year of supervisory experience. We are seeking a Director for all of our Arts Camp sessions. Arts Camp is scheduled to run January 3-6, 2012 (Winter), March 26-30, 2012 (Spring), and from June 11-August 10, 2012 (Summer).

Skills & Qualifications:

Successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in arts and/or education and 1-3 years of experience in working with children in an arts or recreational capacity, including 1 year of supervisory experience.
